Def certainly has a unique way with words. His penchant for wordplay is apparent not only on his songs but in the way he presents words aesthetically. You can catch Def on social networks or on his own mixtape covers regularly reversing or flipping entire status and tweets upside down. The guy practically tweets in html.

All kidding aside though, it's clear that all of this is an extension of his profound love of words, both seen and heard. Def Sound talks to H.A.S.MAGAZINE in L.A.

Earlier this year some of the team hopped in a truck and headed from Chicago to L.A. to do a few photo shoots, connect with new friends, spread some H.A.S. love and all that good stuff. While we were there I got to meet a very dope artist, Def Sound. Def had been put on my radar just weeks before we left by our music editor Senyo, but it was a quick message, nothing to detailed, so I didn't think too much of it.

On our first day a few things didn't go according to plan so we ended up strolling L.A.'s Art Walk in downtown Los Angeles, where our photographer, James Cox, introduced me personally to Def.

The next day James and Def had a photo shoot set up and they were nice enough to let me come along to get some of the footage and to get to know Def a little more.

Soooo meet Def. If you know him, you love him. If you don't, you will!  --Dee





The song in the video is (A)Gain by Def. Def later e-mailed over the track (A)Gain just before it got widely released. I thought it was dope, until the video dropped a little while after! Let's just say, dope visuals make dope music sound, well, Def!
